Congratulations to our April Student Athletes of the Month!

Charlie Watts- Girls Tennis

The head girl's tennis coach, Coach Pooley, had this to say about Charlie, "Charlie has been a part of the tennis team for the last 3 years. She also excels in multiple sports (tennis and swim), showcasing incredible versatility and dedication to both sport seasons. Off the court, she is an active member of HOSA, pursuing her interest/passion for health sciences and leadership. This tennis season, Charlie has worked really hard to transition from playing doubles to playing singles. Playing singles is not only hard work, but requires her to have a strong mental game as she doesn't have a partner on the court to rely on."

Kainoa Nardo- Boys Volleyball

The head boy's volleyball coach, Coach Sacdalan, had this to say about Kainoa, "Kainoa Nardo is a Senior, Co-Team Captain, and Defensive Specialist for this season's Boys Volleyball. He leads by example as a veteran of the 2024 CHSAA CO 5A Boys Volleyball State Runner-up team and a hard-working student-athlete with a 3.77 cum GPA. Kainoa exudes academic and athletic competitiveness and drive for excellence and is a wonderful example for his teammates and fellow classmates to emulate and esteem. I have come to known Kainoa, playing in four seasons, to be an extremely diligent, dependable, and dedicated student-athlete. He has a sense of pride for the program, its values and as a Trojan, he respects his coaches and his teammates. He is coachable and accepts constructive criticism, always cheering on his teammates even when he is not on the court and tries to rally his team during tough times. Again, an excellent student, a positive role-model, and both owns and shows the qualities of a graceful, charismatic leader. He sends positive energy, always putting a smile on everyone's face. Kainoa embodies the Trojan Standard - Core Values of Competing: Character, Pride, Discipline."
