FFCHS Welcomes New Flag Football Head Coach

Fountain-Fort Carson High School is excited to announce Michael Clayborn as the new Head Coach for our Flag Football program.

Coach Clayborn brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. Originally from Missouri, he retired after 11 years of service, has been married for 14 years, and is a proud father of three children.

With eight years of coaching experience from 2017 to 2025, Coach Clayborn has worked with athletes ranging from 5-year-olds in Kindergarten to 15-year-olds in 8th and 9th grade. His teams have consistently achieved top honors, including:

  • State Champions, Colorado Springs 2023 (13U Boys)

  • Regional Champions, Southwest Region Finals 2022 (12U Boys)

  • National Ranking: 8th in the Nation, California 2023 (13U Boys)

  • National Qualifier, 2023 (12U Boys)

  • 2-time Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Basketball Division Champions, 12U and 13U Boys (2023–2024)

  • 7v7 Runner-up, California Tournament Exhibition 2024 – Colorado Springs Elite

  • Undefeated 7th Grade Tackle Football Team, Carson Middle School, 2024

  • Division Championship Title Holder – NFL Flag Football, All Girls 12U

Coach Clayborn’s experience spans multiple sports, including softball, baseball, tackle football, flag football (boys and girls), basketball (boys and girls), and track and field (boys and girls). His teams have competed in 10 states, demonstrating his dedication to developing athletes both on and off the field.

FFCHS looks forward to the leadership, expertise, and energy Coach Clayborn will bring to our flag football program and our student-athletes.
