Cantari Mixed Chorus _{(Italian meaning “to sing”)}  - Cantari is an advanced mixed chorus of auditioned singers who are established in the music program as intermediate to advanced level singers and sight-readers.  Sight-reading is based on the Kodály Method. The Kodály method uses a system of movable-do solfège syllables for sight-singing: scale degrees are sung using corresponding syllable names (do, re, mi, fa, so, la, and ti). The syllables represent scale degree function within the key and the relationships between pitches, not absolute pitch.

Cantari students perform in various concerts and contest throughout Colorado Springs and the State. Cantari has been invited to perform in many different functions throughout the city. Cantari students perform Advanced Mixed Chorus literature.

Bella Voci Women’s Chorus _{(Italian meaning “Beautiful Voice”)} – Bella Voci Women’s Chorus is an auditioned chorus who are acclimated to choral music and are classified as intermediate to advanced singers and sight-readers. Sight-reading is based on the Kodály Method. The Kodály method uses a system of movable-do solfège syllables for sight-singing: scale degrees are sung using corresponding syllable names (do, re, mi, fa, so, la, and ti). The syllables represent scale degree function within the key and the relationships between pitches, not absolute pitch.

Bella Voci students perform in various concerts and contests throughout Colorado Springs and State. This lively group of young ladies perform advanced treble chorus literature showcasing the extraordinary sound of treble voices in harmony.

Concert Choir (High School Beginning chorus) – Concert Choir is a beginning level chorus which no audition is requires. Concert Choir can be mixed or treble choir voices. No previous choral experience or sight-reading experience is necessary to join.  Sight-reading is based on the Kodály Method at the beginning level. The Kodály method uses a system of movable-do solfège syllables for sight-singing: scale degrees are sung using corresponding syllable names (do, re, mi, fa, so, la, and ti). The syllables represent scale degree function within the key and the relationships between pitches, not absolute pitch.

Trojanaires Show Choir – Trojanaires is a show choir which combine singing with choreographed dance routines and creative costumes. This entertaining group perform genres such as: Jazz, modern pop or musical theater, and are different from traditional choirs which typically use more classical music.
