Classes: Athletic Training: This class focuses on sports medicine concepts and the care for athletic injuries.
Human Anatomy and Physiology: The study of the human body, how it is structured, and how those structures work together to keep the body functioning properly.

Mr. Salvatore is the Head of Athletic Trainers and the Science Department at Fountain Fort Carson High School. He has a BS in Community Health Education/ Athletic Training, and a MA in Exercise Physiology

Classes: Human Anatomy and Physiology-This lab-based science course will involve the study of structure and function of the human body systems: skeletal, muscular, digestion, circulation, integumentary, nervous, and reproductive. Organs are dissected.

Human Body Systems-Second level of the Biomedical Pathway, and all students participate in HOSA-Future Health Professionals Program.

Biomedical Innovations- Fourth level of the Biomedical Pathway, and all students participate in HOSA-Future Health Professionals Program.

Mrs. Threadgill is the advisor for HOSA-Future Health Professionals.

Classes: Chemistry - This course covers the interactions of matter and light, including the role of the electron, chemical reactions, and energy conservation.

AVID - AVID is an initiative to prepare students in the academic middle for four-year college eligibility.

Mr. Schmied is part of the Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) and a coach for esports. He has a degree in Secondary Education concurrent in Chemistry.

Classes: Principles of Biomedical Science - In PBS we investigate the death of a fictious college student, we become the doctor and run traditional tests you would find in a doctors office, track and deal with an outbreak, and design our own hospital.

Medical Interventions - In MI we talk about infectious diseases and how to treat/designing treatments for them, genes/heredity, cancer/designing treatments for cancer, and creating solutions for when organs fail.

Mr. Fogarty has a Natural Science Degree with a Biology Education Concentration and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration.

Classes: Physics- A brief overview of the laws that define our universe.

AP physics C: Mechanics- A mathematically intensive, Calculus based course that takes an in-depth look into the laws of motion.

Mr. Hoover is the Boys Tennis head coach, Girls Tennis assistant coach. He has a B.A. in Physics from the University of Iowa and a M.A.T. In Science Education from the University of Iowa.

Classes: Pre-AP Biology and Ecology/Zoology- We focus on the amazing field of life science! Cells, DNA, photosynthesis. In ecology, we learn about all the aspects of an ecosystem and different impacts that can effect them. In zoology, we complete dissections and learn about how all of life is organized.

Mrs. Delano is a sponsor of the OAP (Outdoor Adventure Club) and Science Tutoring. She has a Bachelor of Science in Forestry/Botany (CSU Fort Collins), Master of Arts in Teaching (UNC Greeley), and an EMT Certificate (PPCC).

Pre-AP Chemistry - Honors level first-year chemistry course with a focus on the principles of chemistry with an aim to prepare students for AP level chemistry.

Mr. Quezada Davalos has a B.S. in Chemistry from UCCS and a M.Sc. Chemistry from UCCS.
