This page is designed to offer parents access to resources that will help in the transition to our district.
Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 welcomes all of our military students and families and works hard to meet their unique needs in order for every student to achieve academic success while they are with us. With almost 55% of our student and family population being military-connected, it is vital for us to ensure we are doing all we can to meet your needs.
Important Information for a Smooth Transition
Academic Planning
Military-connected students can explore the FFCHS Course Catalog to assist with academic planning.
Counseling/ Other Support Services
Military-connected students who need access to support services can reach out to their teacher or liasion above. You can also find counseling information on our FFCHS Counseling page.
The military liaison ensures military-connected students have access to appropriate counseling, mentorship, volunteer opportunities, and support services through a combination of proactive outreach, collaborative efforts, and ongoing assessment. This begins with promoting awareness among families about the available resources, including Military Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) and mental health professionals, through school events and communication channels. The liaison works closely with school leadership and mental health staff to maintain a positive school culture, universal supports, and engagement opportunities that benefit all students.
