ABOUT FFCHS CROSS COUNTRY
Fountain-Fort Carson High School Cross Country is a team sport that focuses on running as a team, minimal pack time, both team and individual progress and scoring in the top ten at most meets. The coaching staff typically trains 30-50 student athletes in preparation for an extremely competitive season in the Colorado Class 5A Division.
Character Development:
Athletes will develop both aerobic and anaerobic fitness levels, muscular strength as it pertains to distance running, muscular/skeletal flexibility, and the ability to compete in cross country races over various challenging courses. These athletes will also develop an appreciation for the sport of cross country, compete as a team as well as an individual, and learn what distance runners need in order to become successful in the sport as well as life.
